Volkswagen’s recharge AdBlue light on!!! And, you don’t what to do about it. Well, this presentation covers everything you need to know about a warning light like this.
They come back and say it's done, it's reset, and to make sure I put DEF in before the warning light says 200 miles. I drive it around and everything seems good, no light, etc. Saturday, my wife and I are driving over to her parents' place, about 2 ish hours away. Halfway into the trip the light comes back on, with 10 miles to no restart.
An AdBlue warning light in a Vauxhall typically means there’s an issue with the emissions control system. This could be because the AdBlue fluid level is low, a sensor is broken, or there’s a problem with the AdBlue pump or injectors. The warning light comes on to alert the driver to refill or repair the AdBlue system.
Connect VCDS interface to OBD port, and run VCDS software. Click “01-Engine”. Now it will read out the vehicle controller info, and you need to click “Long Adaptation-0A”. Then click “Read” button. 2012 VW Touareg V6 TDI Problems So, two weeks ago we bought a brand new 2012 vw Touareg TDI out of the showroom. The third day we drove it to the grocery store. As we were leaving the parking lot, the system notification light came on. It stated that the adBlue could only go 700 more miles before running dry. Two days later it wasnt there.
To play devil's advocate for a moment: I've been in situations where I realized that I was 100% reliant on a car not failing. The only real difference here is a warning message -- in the other situation, it was a rental car, and the only thing that got me thinking was the temperature gauge hitting the "cold" stop every time the thermostat opened.
